Measure once. Choose confidently.
Five minutes with a tape measure prevents the most common reason storage gets returned.

Measure the opening, not the object
Measure the usable space between shelves, drawer walls or cabinet sides at its narrowest point. Fixtures, mouldings and door seals all reduce the space you can actually use.

Measure width, depth and height
Width left to right, depth front to back, height floor to the surface above. Write them down in centimetres, in that order — the same order we publish them.

Allow for movement
Doors, drawer runners, handles and hinges all need room to travel. Where we have confirmed the clearance an item needs, it is listed on the product page so you can subtract it before choosing.

Check the shelf can take the weight
Loaded produce drawers and container sets are heavier than they look. Glass fridge shelves and rental cabinetry have limits.

Compare against the product page
Where dimensions are published, they are the product's actual external size. If your measurement is smaller than the external dimension, the item will not fit — no matter how close it is.
Measuring questions
Are dimensions internal or external?
The width, depth and height we publish are external — the space the item itself occupies. Where we have verified internal dimensions as well, they are listed separately on the product page.
What does 'clearance required' mean?
The extra space an item needs beyond its own size in order to work — for example, the room a drawer needs to slide out, or the gap a lid needs to open.
My space is a few millimetres smaller. Will it still fit?
No. Published dimensions are the actual size of the product. If your measurement is smaller, choose a smaller option or contact us and we will suggest an alternative.
A product page has no dimensions listed. Why?
Because we have not verified them yet. We would rather show nothing than publish a measurement we cannot stand behind. Contact us and we will confirm before you order.
It arrived and it does not fit. What now?
If the product matches its published description and dimensions, a return because it did not fit is treated as a change-of-mind return: request it within 14 calendar days of delivery, wait for written authorisation, and you cover return postage. There is no restocking fee.
If the dimensions we published were materially inaccurate, contact us — that is assessed under the Australian Consumer Law instead.
